SMALL BATCH IPA SERIES #5
Pure. West. is the next up in our small batch IPA series. This brew is an ode to old school hop profiles, but balanced with a smooth mouthfeel and hint of haze. We’ve loaded it up with Simcoe, Cascade, and Amarillo. What’s not to love? A nice mix of melon notes and cedar, with a lingering bitterness and a label with extensive Simpsons jokes on it.Shop
Age & beauty had humble beginnings as a simple french saison recipe. From there, it was aged in Spanish Madeira barrels and California red wine barrels. With the addition of brett and pedio, the beer began its souring process, and aged in those barrels for nearly 2 years. From there the barrels were blended into our oak foeder #1, where we added pomegranate and passionfruit puree. After 6 months of aging, and another 4 months of bottle conditioning, the beer was at a real sweet spot of carbonation, fruit character, and sour complexity.Shop
Brutal Truth is a juicy IPA with notes of candied orange and melon. The malt base is a mix of 2-row and wheat, which makes for a full body and smooth mouthfeel. Hopped with Simcoe, Mosaic, and a splash of Cryo Cascade. Part of our one-off IPA series. Drink fresh and drink it now, because these small batches never last long!Sold Out
Diamond Dancer is a one-off IPA brewed with a hop called Idaho Gem, a brand new varietal out of Idaho, which is one of the hotbeds of hop production in the states. Hopbed of hop production? Anyway, this beer is a real gem of an IPA, with a slight spice character, smooth round mouthfeel, and low bitterness. Notes of fresh sweet cherry, and hints of Jolly Rancher.Sold Out
Our dry hopped sour ale has undergone lactobacillus fermentation and fermented out with Vermont yeast. This batch features a huge hit of passionfruit and peach. It’s tart, crisp and full of passionfruit and peach flavour. One off batch, once it’s gone, it’s gone.Sold Out
Here at Rainhard we acknowledge that some things taste really good together when you least expect it: peanut butter and bacon, watermelon and prosciutto, nuts and gum, strawberry/goat cheese/spinach salad in the early 2000’s, just to name a few. •
An India Pale Lager is a lot of things combined: It’s hoppy, it’s crushable, it’s got a hint of bitterness, and it’s made with a lot of love. This beauty was brewed in collaboration with Mosaic City, a new brewery with humble homebrew beginnings. You might even say that all of these things combined are a….Strange Unity? Or maybe you think salmon and chocolate is perfectly normal.
Our pals at Muddy York came to visit us a while back and, on top of enjoying pizza 🍕 lunch, we brewed a beast of a hoppy sour. Using our house lacto culture, we concocted a rather sour base beer, then aggressively dry-hopped it with Vic Secret, Citra, and Mosaic. Crisp, with aromas of citrus and berries, and lemony-melony flavours on the finish. I think we’d all agree this pairs well with pizza, friendship, and 4th anniversaries.Shop
We took an already beautiful bourbon aged stout and added just enough vanilla to impart a vanilla flavour on the nose, and to cut the acidity of the original version. This stout is by no means a dessert stout- instead, it shines on its own without being cloyingly sweet. Vanilla notes linger on the palate long after your last sip.Shop
A beautiful blend of several different bourbon barrels, aged 1-2 years as we saw fit. The result is what we believe is the best iteration of Bourbon Hearts Collide yet. Tons of bourbon and a hint of heat on the nose, light acidity, and so smooth you wouldn’t believe it’s 11%.Shop
This version of our sour has a huge punch of Margarita flavours. We added key lime juice and dry-hopped it with Mandarina Bavaria so you get big aromas of your favourite cocktail. A dose of Himalayan Black Lava salt adds a hint of salinity, but doesn’t go so far as a gose. Lingering sour lime notes on the finish makes this a perfect beer to welcome in the spring.Sold Out
Cult Hero was brewed using pilsner malt, oats, and a touch of honey malt. The addition of Cryo Citra and Cryo Columbus hops give this beer an enormous burst of aroma (Think ripe mango and candied peach) with a resinous finish, while Ahtanum hops (new to us!) provide the floral grapefruit flavour! At 7.8%, this one goes down almost too easy.Shop
This isn’t just a regular stout. This is our first foeder-aged release ever! We added some delicious toasted coconut, some scotch bonnet peppers and some delicious cacao nibs from our good friends at SOMA Chocolate Makers. And just to round things out, we blended a little bourbon barrel-aged stout in for good measure. The final product is something special. It’s a full bodied stout, packed full of delicious coconut aroma immediately. The coconut carries through on the pallet and then the peppers bring in a nice spice. The finish is chocolatey and smooth.Sold Out
Marzen (Seasonal Amber Lager)
Burnt orange in colour, and slightly malty. This Märzen was brewed for the fall season, and features a clean flavour profile. Brewed using Pilsner, Vienna, and Munich Malt, this beer is perfect for a more flavourful lager option.
Let’s take a simple 2-row grain bill, load it with oats and wheat, then instead of fermenting with our house yeast strain, let’s pitch a ton of Brettanomyces yeast. Then do a massive dry hop of Citra and Cascade!
The result is a unique flavour profile of sweet pineapple and melon, combined with the subtle funkiness of brett! Expect a nice lingering bitterness and highly aromatic beer. While adding brett ‘post-fermentation’ adds a more funky-barnyard brett character, choosing to ferment a beer primarily with brett lends a less noticeable brett character (who’d of thought…). What we do get is more fruity esters, and just enough brett aromatics to know that the funk is there!
Rage & Love (Passionfruit and Tangerine)
Dry Hopped Sour Ale w/ Fruit, 5.4%
This version has been generously conditioned on passionfruit and tangerine puree.
This Mixed fermentation ale was primary fermented and soured in the fermenter with lactobacillus and then finished with our house yeast strain.
Our flagship IPA, Kapow! features great tropical fruit and citrus flavours and aromas with a moderate level of bitterness. It’s full bodied and juicy, with a crisp, dry finish. Generous finishing hops and dry hopping allow the hop aromas to balance and subdue the bitterness.
Pours golden in colour with a light haze.
Our dry-hopped pale ale is clean and crisp with distinct flavours of melon, grapefruit and soft pine. A smooth malt character and body brings balance to this ale, providing a canvas to display our aromatic hops. Four hop additions and dry hopped in the fermenter. Focusing primarily on the legendary Citra hop, the distinctive citrus flavours are enhanced by the addition of Australian Galaxy hops, lending a soft melon fruitiness to the beer.Shop
Milk stout is a style that traditionally served as the alternative to the more common Irish Dry Stouts such as Guinness. Also known as sweet stout, the more common name comes from the fact that the sweetness is the result of an addition of lactose sugar to the boil. Unlike most other sugars, lactose is non-fermentable, leaving a higher residual sweetness in the final product. Our award-winning stout is creamy and easy drinking, with notes of cocoas and marscapone. Pours dark brown and creamy.

Chill Pils is a Saphir Dry-Hopped pilsner. A Czech style pilsner brewed with all Pilsner malt and hopped with Saphir and Opal, it features a clean and crisp malt backbone, and a lightly floral finish. An additional small charge of Saphir hops were added to the dry hop to give it an added punch of flavour.Shop
Rage and Love is our ongoing series of sours. The base beer is a dry-hopped mixed-fermentation ale, but sometimes we like to play around with different fruit combinations as suits our fancy.
Rage is fermented with lactobacillus and then finished with our house yeast strain.
Very clean and bright citrus flavour.
Unfiltered Pilsner is brewed with a simple grain bill, fermented with pilsner yeast and hopped with Czech Saaz, a hallmark of the style. The addition of German Hallertauer hops enhances the notes of spice and black pepper. It pours a golden straw colour with a white frothy head. A subtle sweetness is balanced by a moderate bitterness and a crisp, clean finish.Sold Out
Brewed using a complex malt bill providing a deep black colour and big coffee and dark chocolate notes. It has an assertive bitterness but is subdued by the rich malt sweetness and mellowed by the warmth of the alcohol. One of our most requested releases of the year, it is available in limited quantities.Sold Out
Double Dry-Hopped Double IPA with Lactose.
Building on the success of Green Monster, this DIPA is brewed with a generous amount of Lactose and dry hopped with Citra and Simcoe, providing a smooth and approachable DIPA with moderate sweetness on the finish.Sold Out
Times change, tastes change, and sometimes a beer gets a few tweaks. Lazy Bones is making a comeback, but with a few updates. This version is double-dry hopped with Vic Secret, Citra, and El Dorado. The body is lighter due to a pilsner malt bill supported by wheat and oats, making for a soft and full mouthfeel. Aromas and flavours of cantaloupe, berries, and kiwi, with a hint of grapefruit pith bitterness on the finish. We’re very happy with these changes, and we hope you will be too.

One of our fastest selling beers of 2017, Green Monster is a fun collaboration with our friends at Left Field Brewery. This IPA is heavily dry-hopped and brewed with a generous amount of lactose, delivering at once a great amount of citrus notes while having a nice sweet finish. Pours hazy and yellowSold Out
Our newest addition to our “Armed” line of dry hopped pale ales, this iteration builds on the original recipe for Armed N’ Citra. This time we’re shining the spotlight on Vic Secret and putting its great flavour and aroma at the forefront. Pours hazy and yellow.Sold Out
Harvest is a very special release for us. After conditioning in the brewery since May 2017, Brett is on full display in this delicious, dry and spicy farmhouse ale. We used Brett ‘D’, which puts forward a more fruity character rather than a ton of funky notes (there’s still some funk, though). Pours orange with a touch haze.Sold Out
This special version of our Hearts Collide Imperial Stout is aged in Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrels. We blended barrels aged 9 months and 22 months, which gave us an incredibly balanced, yet boozy stout. The bourbon notes are strong, yet not overpowering and the oak flavours bring a richness that is unparalleled. One of the best beers we’ve every made.Sold Out
A contradiction in terms, Black IPAs are beers that combine the colour of a stout with the bright flavours of hops. Our take on the style is mashed with Black Prinz, and a touch of rye to give it a toasty richness and a smooth dryness. Bold Australian Galaxy hops lend sweet flavours of passion fruit and citrus.
